Gathering; straight stitch......

Stitch material down the center be sure to back stictch . Trim thread at both ends.


 

Stitch material down the center ( do not back stitch). Wrap thread around pin to keep in place at starting pointand end of stitching.  Pull bobbin thread to gather material, wrap thread and pin.
