Turn up the pant 1” inch and fold at the hem line and pin

Rip that hem right open......get
that seam ripper  |
Let's pin the hem crease so that we
know where the original hem was before we ripped it up...;-)

Iron it out and get
ready to turn the pants inside out
   
Make a chalk hem line that is 1" inch around .....now basting stitch along chalk line and thread mark both legs

Iron hem folded up and pin
Cross stitch hem in with matching color thread and remove pins and hem stitch........Guess what??.....We have completed the job...
